By allowing users to test and play stories that they are creating before publishing them, I found that this was a good way to identify areas of my work that needed to be improved to make sure that my story ran smoothly.
I found that Twine was quite accessible and as someone who has never created an interactive story/game prior to this, I feel that there was a lot of information and hints available on the Twine website to guide you through how to use Twine, whether you were new to using the software or whether you were experienced; I feel as though it catered for many levels of abilities.
I was able to change the font of my writing within the passages and was able to add features to the text such as bold and italics. This was useful when wanting to highlight certain parts of my work and make more important parts stand out. However, I found that this feature was quite hard to find, and I had to refer to the ‘Help’ page in order to find out how to add these to my work. Rather than having an option to format your work differently on the home page where you were creating your story, it was expected that you already knew how to do this or that you had to look for information on how to do so. If I had not decided to search how to add features such as bold and italics to my work, I may not have known that this was an option as it was not made obvious.
Following a peer review I had from another student, if I were to create a story using Twine in the future, I would like to learn how to add some more creative features such as images and videos as I feel as though this would better portray my ability to use this software and make it more enjoyable for other users.
