I found that being able to highlight certain parts of an article or texts and annotate them made Diigo quite easy to use and meant that I was able to separate points that I was making to clearly explain why the articles that I was using were the most suitable and the best to put forward towards my Wikipedia article. Highlighting and annotating online also allows other users to add their thoughts and opinions to an article that you are looking at. This is a good way to gather different perspectives on a piece of writing and perhaps understand topics a little better; this helped me to analyse texts in more detail.

I was able to sort my annotated articles into groups by adding hashtags to each. This meant that it was easy to find the articles that I wanted to look at depending on which part of the Wikipedia article I was writing.

Whilst deciding what articles were the best to put forward towards my work, I wanted to add a book to my curation list as I used a variety of sources when researching the collapse of the Rana Plaza and the #whomademyclothes movement, however Diigo did not facilitate for referencing a book or other sources that were not a website. As a result, I found it hard to reference the book that I had used.

Another difficulty I faced when first using Diigo to annotate my chosen articles was the lack of instructions regarding how to use this application and bookmark articles to annotate. I felt like I had to read a lot of the instructions on the ‘help’ page and trial-and-error annotating a couple of articles to be able to understand how to use Diigo, which I believe didn’t make it very user-friendly.
